After pickup from your respective hotels we drive to The Gambia’s  capital Banjul. Here we visit pure gold and silver boutique (18 and 24 carats) more cheaply here than in Europe. Thereafter we drive to DENTON BRIDGE half way to Banjul.

Here awaits the boat that will take us on the river. After a welcome drink onboard we have general information about how the social life works here in the Gambia followed by entertainment from the Gambia’s Steve wonder whiles we slowly but surely sail between the mangroves which are mosquito free. In the swamp we have the possibility of experiencing how the jola and manjako women collect oysters from the Mangrove trees from there mahogany canoes.

We also have the possibility of seeing a lot of river and other birds like: the Goliath heron, reef heron, pelicans, hammer cop, kingfishers, bee eaters, fiddler crabs etc etc.

After about 2 hours, we arrive in Lamin Lodge. A restaurant built on poles on the river in the swamps. Here we are welcomed by drummers and dancers and we have also had the opportunity to see sun set above the mangroves.

After we have settled down we then enjoy a delicious buffet also included in the price followed by entertainment from the Mandingo, Wolof, karoninka, and the jola tribes of the Gambia.

After the show a home made liquor SUM-SUM also called Kill Me Quick is served for pleasure.
The journeys back home to the hotels in the dark makes this trip even more exciting.
